Ty Summerlin, CFP® is a Senior Wealth Advisor with over twenty years of experience advising sophisticated clients with complex financial needs, including CEOs, private equity partners, successful entrepreneurs, and doctors. Ty has extensive expertise in the areas of client development, investment management, estate and tax planning, stock option strategies, employee benefit analysis, and retirement planning.
Before joining HoyleCohen, Ty directed teams of financial advisors and top-tier tax professionals as Director of Financial Planning with New York-based Joel Isaacson & Co., LLC, a Focus Financial Partner ranked as one of the nation’s top wealth advisors by Worth Magazine and Barron’s. Prior to his role with Joel Isaacson & Co., LLC, Ty was a financial advisor for ING Advisors, Inc. and UBS Painewebber, Inc.
Ty has always taken the viewpoint that his relationship with his clients is as unique as they are. In addition to Ty's impressive background in the financial services industry, he shares the entrepreneurial spirit and passion like so many of his clients. As a military spouse and active volunteer with several adaptive sports and wounded veteran organizations, Ty discovered a great intersection between his personal passion for strength & conditioning and helping adaptive athletes. In 2014, he founded Adaptive Performance Systems, an organization dedicated to maximizing the overall physical and mental wellness of amputees and wheelchair athletes.
Ty graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance) from New York Institute of Technology and remains an avid volunteer with several wounded veteran organizations.
