HoyleCohen's mission is to enrich the lives of those we serve through diligent care of their wealth and financial well-being. We do this by building long-term trusted relationships with our clients and by designing and implementing creative solutions for protecting and growing their wealth so they can enjoy their lives with more rewards and less worry.
In late 2001, Founding Partners Kevin Hoyle and Joe Cohen felt the industry was evolving at an accelerating pace. Despite over a decade of success in their individual advisory practices, they looked forward and realized that their current and future clients would be better served if they joined together to bring the best of their combined expertise in financial planning and investment management. HoyleCohen was formed.
By 2006, HoyleCohen was a vibrant business with special clients who felt more like family than customers. Joe and Kevin looked forward again and recognized that they needed to ensure the firm's future success and continuity beyond themselves. In 2006, HoyleCohen became part of the Focus Financial Partners network of independent financial advisory firms and in 2007, they hired Mark Delfino to take over the day-to-day management of the firm. In early 2008, Mark became a partner and Elisabeth Cullington, who was seeing many of the same trends, merged her financial advisory business into HoyleCohen. By 2012, HoyleCohen had added key staff members and Elisabeth and Troy Waters joined Mark as partners of the firm and Kevin and Joe transitioned out of the management side of the business.
Today, HoyleCohen is home to team members totaling over 300 years of industry experience, serving over 1,100 households and managing approximately $1.72 billion in assets in Southern California and across the nation. We are a firm founded on strong principals of honesty, hard work, and innovative thinking. What started as two small practices is now a stable and enduring firm. While optimistic about the future, we do not take it for granted. Inspired by our clients, we intend to keep getting better, together, through the years.
