Why a Women-Focused Practice

Women and men talk and think differently about wealth.  Yet, few financial firms do much to address this disparity.  We have been working with women for over two decades, helping them with their unique situations. It became clear that having an entire practice group dedicated to serving women was a way in which we could continually do more to add value to our clients and focus on situations unique to newly independent women, such as widows and divorcees. 

In 2011, Elisabeth Cullington and Janet Acheatel created Wealth by Design for Women℠ as a dedicated practice within HoyleCohen. The practice consists of women advisors, planners, and client service personnel committed to serving women - newly independent, entrepreneurs, and professionals alike.

We are changing the conversation. 

Elisabeth Cullington and Janet Acheatel started thinking differently about how best to serve women in their respective practices.  They knew their clients came to them feeling underserved and unsatisfied by financial services in the past.  They listened and heard that women felt scared about running out of money; uncertain about the future that no longer included their spouses income; anxious to make the right financial choices in order to sustain the future they envisioned for their children and for themselves. 

The result after years of responding to concerns and fears just like these, they wanted to take their passion for serving women to the next level and put more energy behind maximizing their client's experience and nurturing the trusted advisory relationship.  Elisabeth and Janet are interested in more than managing your wealth - they are interested in knowing you and helping you reach your goals - all the while providing you with the ongoing resources and education to build a relationship based on confidence and trust.
